Dr. Jake Way
SENIOR OSTEOPATH AND CLINICAL REHAB INSTRUCTOR
Jake has been an osteopath for over nine years, continually evolving his practice to reflect his expanding expertise and insights. Fascinated by the brain's role in orchestrating bodily functions, Jake explores how posture and alignment reveal patterns of movement, indicating areas of strength and vulnerability.
Combining posture and movement analysis with targeted strength and mobility assessments, Jake accurately identifies the underlying causes of dysfunction. He believes that breathing and gait are foundational to optimal function and prioritizes optimizing the axial skeleton’s alignment—particularly the ribcage and pelvis—before focusing on building strength in the limbs.
Passionate about treating through a lifestyle and holistic lens, Jake integrates elements such as exercise, nutrition, and stress management, viewing each as essential for a balanced, healthy body. His treatments use a blend of soft tissue techniques, muscle energy techniques (MET), and personalized exercise prescriptions, including breathwork and strength training, to foster sustainable, effective results.
Jake enjoys helping patients with stubborn musculoskeletal issues, postural concerns, and sports-related injuries, particularly those active in the gym who welcome guidance on form, programming adjustments, and technique for improved outcomes.
Outside of work, Jake enjoys immersing himself in nature, staying active in the gym, and indulging his passion for sci-fi and fantasy books, shows, and movies—blending his health-oriented lifestyle with a love for imaginative worlds.
